Daisy, I would do a bit of research about the smeg fridge first.

I've always wanted one too, but when I looked for reviews on the web I was shocked to find that they get terrible reviews about being poorly made, break easily and extortionate prices for replacement parts.

Not saying don't buy one, but if it was me I'd want to know before I spend so much money on it, even if they are heavenly.

I have to agree with Pipkin. I hankered after one too but decided against on the above grounds. Mine is now hidden behind cupboard door, functional but not pretty sadly!

I splashed out and bought a Smeg over the net.I needed a cooker and a dishwasher too so managed to get them to do a deal.
I absolutely love my Smeg.It has been fine so far, we have had it over 2 years now, I like the design inside as it is easy to clean.I just wish it was a little bigger as there are 6 of us who love cheese and salad etc. Best of all it makes me smile as it is so nice to look at.I nearly bought a pink one but chickened out and got a cream one.I haven't had to defrost it yet either which is a good thing.I hate defrosting fridges and freezers!

It depends on your budget for the kitchen cupboards really. We managed to get all ours over the net from various companies and I painted the units myself which saved money. They came ready assembled and some are solid pine others are just normal kitchen cupboards with solid oak doors and trims. Our original quote was over £15,000 and by shopping around we came in at just over £5,000. That included a couple of belfast sinks, taps, wooden worktops etc.

I can send you some links if that's your kind of budget.

This is what it looks like though we have added a few more shelves and pictures since then.

This is mine - it was done on a budget and really quickly as we have been through the mill this past year and had to be out of the house asap! LOL We are eventually going to get our own proper kitchen done like you with the cream, belfast sink etc but for now im quite pleased with how it all looks

Please take some before and after pics and upload to the before and after bit of the forum - cant wait to see how it looks. Love round windows too but dont have any so not a clue how to dress them sorry! xxx

I would paint it, I think it should definitely stay. If you dont want to use it as a tv cabinet I would imagine it would be a handly little cupboard to have anywhere it will fit. Farrow and Ball have a gorgeous range of colours, lots of people like Dimity which is an off white.
