That's fab Mary Poppins!! I love what some of our 'girls' have done on here - paint it white and leave the countertop part natural wood.

![]() Lazy olde me eh ![]() Well I have done the top of my what was an orange pine, Ebay bought dresser, now want to get the wax out on it. Have used F&Bs Pointing. Yet to decide what to do with the bottom. ![]() |

Lol, 7/7/08 was when I was doing my dresser.... and I've not progressed any of my other projects since!
![]() Well done on that dresser top. I'd still recommend the same - use the same paint for the base but leave the top stripped bare and oiled or waxed ![]()

ooh its lovely Mary - looks great so which F&B paint did you use - emulsion or eggshell?

I went for the water based eggshell, twas quite nice to work with
LOL BM3Annie do you think even on a really orangy piney bottom the top would look alright unpainted, sanding really isn't my speciality and wondered if one does the unpainted waxed look on their dressers does it have to be quite good solid wood if you know what I mean, maybe it would help if I took a photograph of the bottom and you shall see what I meanLast edited by MaryPoppins; 07-28-2009 at 10:19 AM.. |
