Default That Friday feeling, 5th March

Good morning. Thought I'd get the daily going.
Finding it very hard - got a fasting blood test this morning. Not till 9.55am. I'm wanting my cereal and tea. I'm not good without breakfast. I even dreamed about food. How cruel is that! I never dream about food

Going to see mum later. Hopefully she'll be in less pain. Then hoping to get the cloak done for this Henry VIII costume I'm making for my ds. Huge thank you to the lovely Mitmot and CTC for the gorgeous velvety fabric for this. Aren't they wonderful.

Catch you all later.

Good luck with the cloak - you know we MUST see pictures

hope things start to brighten up for you soon LAcey.

i have had a mad week working at least 16 hours a day and often still on the phone to Aus at midnight - thankfully it is Friday night there now so i should be able to have a easier day today!

looks like i will be in Aus for most of MAy but the nice thing is i can take hubbie with me, all i need to do is find his airfare. the company fly me business class and did offer that i could use that money to get 2 econamy tickets but after being spoilt in business class i dont really want to give that up - is it wrong for me to suggest hubbie flys econ and i fly business?????????

hope you all have a sunny Friday xx

Morning my little chirping sparrows xxxxx

Hope your Mum starts to feel better soon Lacey, and by the time you read this you've had a lovely late breakfast xxxx

Mitty, you could always give DH a few cushions to take with him

I spent hours yesterday reshuffling our finances, should have been done ages ago but I buried my head after the nightmare start to the year.
Got 4 bills for DH to pay at the bank today too
At least I now know our main things are sorted, now I need warm weather to reduce fuel costs, but like I just said to DH, if we can get through this we can do anything
How to feed us on £30pw will be the real test. In the warmer weather, and when my FF is paid for we might be able to go up to £40

Been making mannequins and little birds from the Sew Sunny book, hoping to have a few ready to show tomorrow.

Have a wonderfully sunny day everyone xxxxxxxxxx

Course they'll be pics! And thank you. I reckon I've had my share of the three bad things. More than my share! Things have got to get better soon. Anyways, lots of peeps are a lot worse off.
I'm thrilled things are going so well for you, and what a lovely way to spend May! I have a friend who does this, and they simply swap so they each have five or six hours on a long haul in a comfier seat. Seems to work really well for them.
Yep, just had my weetabix, and planning on following it with some toast or whatever else I can find.
(((((((((((((((((BM))))))))))))))))) I hope finances improve for you. Reshuffling is a positive step.

Going back a few years ago now I had bliddy bailiffs on my doorstep, unpayed council tax by X hubby but in my name. A ridiculous amount of money which had to be payed back on a weekly basis leaving me with £30 a week for me and the kids. It was blimmin hard but we got through it and you will too and like you said if you can get through this you can get through anything.
Thinking of you and the warmer weather WILL soon be here so we can all get the blimmin heating off xxx

Morning all, i'm going to have to visit every other day as i'm now on my mobile internet allowance of 150mb, can't afford to top up until next thursday (payday). Had a lovely (sarky) email from littlewoods today stating that if i have a call out to look at my sofa it will cost me £45 if the engineers says nothing's wrong. I replied stating that i require assurances that the engineer will be impartial as i'm on benefits, although the saggy middle of the sofa should be enough evidence!

Why do compaanies take the mickey and want money all the time? I hate greed and if i didn't need the catalogue i'd tell em where to go

Anyhoo on to a lighter note, the sun is trying to shine again, so maybe just maybe spring is on the way

Hope everyone's okay and well (((Lacey))) i hope your mum improves very quickly

xx

Thanks girls xxxxx

SB, try to have someone with you when the "engineer" calls (blummin sofa engineer, what next ) and ask for a copy of the report. Also have your camera handy and click some photos while he's looking at it, just for your own records of course

My list for today includes sewing and going out (I know, I know, don't faint please) so I've decided that the pooter is going to be switched off more. I tend to leave it idling, but it's too tempting to spend time on here when I should be doing other things

and of course BM keeping your pooter switched on is costing you money in electric. In the day time i have my pooter on for about an hour but i won't have any telly or radio on unless i'm really really bored. My goodness i think i may be visited by 3 ghosts soon
