Default Anyone know where I would sell....

a full length mink coat

It was my mums and she only wore it approximately 6 times, I also have the valuation she had done in the 70s ....
I don't really mix with the mink coat brigade so have not a clue where to start.....so thought I'd ask you posh tarts if you could point me in the right direction

mmmmmm this is a hard one..

please dont hate me, but... the fur coat crowd are very few and far between these days..

i can have alook to see how much they are being sold at the vintage fair in 2 weeks, and let you know.

i have some fur coats to sell, when i sold some before on ebay, the price was really eratic, so i couldnt say a price for def.

please bare in mind when you had the valuation done in the 70's you could still wear a fur coat walking down the high street and no one would bat an eyelid

Oh CTC I do realise this hun so I don't hate you lol

Apparently the fur market has taken an upward turn and not as hated as before.....though still not a great market to sell in

It is a f/l Deluxe Black Glamma ....I was nearly going to make a small snuggly for the sofa but it really would be a shame to cut into it as it is a beautiful fur.....we were thinking of taking it to Italy where OHs family are as there is a HUGE fur store there ...very glamourous but his Aunts died and we shelved the idea .........it has been in our bedroom for 20 yrs since my mum died, so think I really need to find it a good home lol

Think it could be a London jobbie

I was thinking the same thing, I am afraid. It has become very unfashionable because of the exposure around animal cruelty - you would probably need to use a specialist seller in used furs to get a decent price... and then they would obviously want their cut. Have you looked at ebay to see the prices similar coats have fetched?

oh I do know I wouldn't get a fraction of the valuation ...but the market has had a slight upward turn due to designers now including fur alot in their shows again, fur sadly hasn't quite the stigma attached to it, it once had, but I suppose a specialist is the way to go..
