Default Birdie Mobile

My DD has started crafting and has made the birdies from the CK book "Sew"for a baby mobile as a gift for her friend.

This the mobile:

She knows how to attach the bamboo etc....to hang them BUT her friend has very high ceilings and was wondering if any of you have any ideas as to how they can attach them to hang over the cot.

To hang them from the ceiling would be near impossible so is there another way????

We had thought of a bracket..............but that wouldn't stick out far enough to go over the cot IYKWIM xxxx
