Does anyone else ever get bored of their blog?
I don't mean i'm bored of blogging (I love it) but I am getting a little tired of my blog in general. I quite often change the background to freshen it up but even that doesn't seem to be working now. I keep thinking that if i'm boring myself then I must be boring others too.
I've been thinking about starting afresh and starting a new blog, something a bit more upbeat and not so booooooooring. Some of you will know that i'll be 40 this year and i've been doing lots of soul searching lately and realise that I want/need to be more than just MUM (hope that doesn't sound selfish) so i've been thinking about doing a blog on my journey through to my 40s and beyond, a new chapter in my life, what do you think?

I love your blog, I love the mixture of crafting, parenting and everything else. Have you read blogging for bliss by Tana Frey??? What do you want your blog to be?

I think you have a lovely blog, and I'm always interested in what you write. But I think we all sometimes get a bit tired of blogging and need a break. That doesn't sound like it's what you need - why not just redirect your blog a bit into the things you want to chat about.

I understand, but whatever you feel you need to do, just remember what being a mum entails, think of all the things you have to be good at while being a mum, of course you can do other things too, but never underestimate yourself.

I don't think your blog is boring at all, I think it's these birthdays with an 0 at the end, make us want to do something to change what we do.

I think Maypoles right, it's the 0 birthday that has got me thinking about what I want out of my life and blogging. Will just keep rambling for now and see how I feel at some point in the future

Beki you know I love your blog, and maybe if the background is bothering you go back to a plain white background? I find some blog backgrounds really difficult to read/enjoy/navigate....maybe make it more simple?
As for content, I like that yours is a varied mix of all sorts of things, stops it from being boring!!! xx

Oh Beks don't let the big 40 get you down ..... it's just a number ..... those of us that have passed it and other 0s know all about it and as Maypole says don't underestimate yourself .... you do the most important job in the world. I remember when I had my 30 an old schoolfriend said don't be so boring and that played on my mind for ages. Now I can look back and see that what I had at that time - family, 4 children aged 1 to 6 years - was right for me ..... it may not have been right for her (she was a party animal and spent most of her time p***ed and her only child died of a drugs overdose in his early twenties). She may have had the career, posh holidays and a big house but she has a lonely life with a bottle to keep her company now.

We all think the grass is greener at different points in our lives and can easily miss what is right under our noses. Keep on rambling please ... flip you've got me doing it now
