I often see posts on blogs and perhaps on here about people buying things at tips.
Is this a national thing and is there a website where you can find the ones local to you that are selling stuff? We have one near us (5mins walk max) but it only seems to be people chucking stuff and there isn't much chance to take anything. Well unless I sit there all day waiting to see something I fancy.![]() Any tips, websites, directions etc will be greatfully recieved. ![]()

How about phoning your local council, they should know the nearest.
Ours is really well organised, they even have dress rails with clothes on now!

Northamptonshire do this. Kettering is really well laid out, as is Brixworth. They put everthing decent asside at Market Harb, but don't let you buy it so I don't tend to go there anymore.
Not much help to you Daisy, but maybe some help for anyone more local to me Last edited by The Giantess; 05-15-2009 at 11:09 AM.. Reason: realised I wasn't really helping daisy! |

Oh so some places run it almost like a shop? Cool.
Don't worry, hopefully it will be of help to someone else who can buy pretty things and then take photos for us. ![]()

Last time we went to our local tidy tip it had been taken over by Eastern Europeans practically getting in the car to take any electrical goods ...... I had visions of van loads of our broken down things heading towards a new life across the continent .. don't spose for one minute they had permission
