Definately go via PP and do an item not described. Send it back by recorded when PP tell you and enter the tracking number in the dispute. That should be enough to get you your refund - whether she has the funds in there or not. PP will then get the money from her.

Such a shame - I've bought & sold lots of boden items over the years on ebay - their stuff last for ages. Goodness knows where she found this rag

I'm an ancient ebay queen Laj but can honestly say in all the years I have been buying and selling I can count the number of disputes on one hand and they were all settled amicably in the end.

I didn't realise that I could keep hold of the packed item and do a dispute.

The barking mad thing, is something I called another woman who, was in fact mad. Her son bought some straighteners but didn't ell his mom that he was using her account. She was taken into hospital in Berks, and her son was found to be using her accout.

I hear you and you are most probably right. I will shut up now.She really bloody wound me up though.

I know I should rise above it, but I genuinely didn't realise that I can dispute through paypal without sending it back.

Thank you so much girls.

It's well accepted that typing in caps is, in fact, shouting.
If it were me, I would send one more message saying you no longer wish to continue the verbal tennis, and will be contacting paypal to open a dispute. Also, after taking advice, you will not be returning the coat until you are advised by Paypal.
Any future messages will be deleted or returned unopened.
Take photos to back up your claim and try to get a copy of the one used for the auction, complete with description.
