I'm not sure about dressers in living rooms, mine is in the dining room, and that's OK, but I'd prefer it in the kitchen, but since there isn't room to swing a cat in my kitchen, there certainly isn't room for a dresser! I think it would depend what you dressed your dresser with, plates etc, I don't think would go in a living room, but I suppose other pretties would! Think it would be OK in a lounge/diner as I think a table complements a dresser???

Anyway, not putting a pic of my dresser on yet, as you've all already seen it today, but will put one on after I've dressed it properly! But I am putting a linky on to my favorite dresser ever on t'internet (which I put up a few days ago, but useful to have it here for anyone doing a search for inspiration for a dresser paint job) http://www.flickr.com/photos/happylo...ie/2421936268/

Here's mine. We found it in the shed when we bought the house. It was in a right state and I didn't think I'd be able to sort it but I love it.

Its on the wall of our breakfast room and I want one for our dining room too.

I love your bathroom dresser Lajoni ..... all your family nic nacs just finish it off beautifully. I would also love a green colour scheme but it would mean changing absolutely everything and we just don't have the dosh at the moment .... we just painted the walls in antique white to brighten the room up because for some reason in a previous life I decided to have a dark red suite and we have a blue carpet. These choices were probably made because of practicality because of the amount of traffic we have thru our house ..... I swear I am going to put a revolving door in the front soon as there's always someone either on the way in or way out .
These are the other wall hanging pine units in the living room and my Victorian pine dresser. I cannot bring myself to paint the dresser or open shelf unit as they are antique Victorian pine and the patina on them is just right. All were purchased at auction or CB except for the dresser which was from a normal shop. All the little china bits on here are my toy or doll's tea and dinner services .... they date from between 1820 and 1910.
